APACHE SINGLE COIL STRAT & STORMY MONDAY HUMBUCKER SET

APACHE SINGLE COIL STRAT

Pure, full-bodied early-'50s Strat tone with exceptional dynamics.

The Apache is a full-bodied early-'50s single coil set delivering exceptional natural sustain and low string pull from its Alnico III magnets.

Based on the rounder, fatter tones of the original '54 to '57 coils, the Apache delivers a deep bottom end, bell-like high-end chime and rich, wide-ranging mids. Clean tones are crystal clear and articulate without becoming harsh or thin, while overdriven tones remain full and crunchy with plenty of body for single-note work.

Scatter-wound by hand using vintage-correct Heavy Formvar wire, the bridge coil is wound slightly hotter for improved balance across the set. Calibrated Alnico III magnets are hand-bevelled and mounted into fibreboard flatwork, available in either the original '54 stagger with a low G magnet or the more common '56 stagger.

The Apache's low magnetic pull allows excellent dynamics, natural sustain and accurate intonation.

APPLICATIONS

Country, Surf, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Indie, Pop and Classic Rock.

SUITABILITY

Particularly well suited to Maple-board Strat-style guitars with lightweight Ash bodies, but equally at home in Alder-bodied instruments with Rosewood fretboards.

SPECIFICATION

STORMY MONDAY HUMBUCKER

Sweet, articulate PAF character with warm bass, hollow mids and smooth high-end.

The Stormy Monday is a highly dynamic, authentically vintage humbucker, completely hand-wound using vintage-correct 42 AWG plain enamel wire and handcrafted with butyrate bobbins, a calibrated sand-cast Alnico II magnet and a solid nickel-silver baseplate and cover.

Inspired by the early 'Patent Applied For' PAF humbuckers, its asymmetrically wound coils provide an extended frequency response, excellent string separation and exceptional touch sensitivity.

The Stormy Monday recreates the brighter character of the '57 and '58-era PAFs, combining smooth natural sustain with excellent pick dynamics. Warm and full low notes, sweet mellow highs and slightly scooped mids create a soft, percussive vintage voice.

APPLICATIONS

Blues, Country, Jazz, Funk, Indie, Reggae and Classic Rock.

SUITABILITY

Suitable for solid-body, semi-acoustic and hollow-body guitars, or any instrument that would benefit from a warmer, brighter and more dynamic vintage tone.
