Hot vintage Strat tone with fat lows, grinding mids and warm, expressive highs.
The Irish Tour is a true hot-vintage set of single coils, delivering a powerful Strat voice with a fat bottom end, strong midrange presence and warm, rounded highs.
Each coil is hand-wound with 42 AWG plain enamel wire, pushing the classic vintage formula to deliver greater output, depth and clarity. The result is a big, gutsy tone with plenty of weight and authority while retaining the openness and dynamics of a true single coil.
Low notes are fuller and richer, with increased midrange weight, while the higher strings deliver a rounder chime and warmer harmonic response. The hotter-wound bridge coil has enough output to push a tube amp into natural overdrive, while the calibrated middle and neck coils retain a hollow, woody character with added power.
Blues, Funk, Indie, Pop, Garage, Punk and Classic Rock.
Particularly well suited to brighter Alder and Ash-bodied Strat-style guitars with Maple fretboards, or any Strat that would benefit from a fatter vintage voice, stronger output and greater control in the high end.
