MOTHER'S MILK SINGLE COILS

Bright, punchy mid-'60s Strat tone with woody mids and exceptional snap.

Mother's Milk is a mid-'60s voiced Strat-style single coil set with solid bass response, a dynamic woody character and a crisp, responsive high end.

The set combines larger-diameter Alnico V magnetic rods with scatter-wound 42 AWG plain enamel coils, capturing the character of the transition into the mid-'60s Strat sound. Hand-bevelled magnets and scatter-winding produce a tight, deep bottom end alongside clear, full highs that sing under overdrive without becoming thin or brittle.

The midrange is hollow and woody, with more grit and edge than Heavy Formvar-wound coils. This gives Mother's Milk a crisp, articulate clean tone and a distinctive blues-rock voice when pushed.

The bridge coil is wound slightly hotter for improved balance across the set, while vintage cloth push-back hookup wire is fitted as standard. A choice of stock or RW/RP middle coil is also available.

SUITABILITY

Particularly well suited to Strat-style guitars with Rosewood fretboards and warmer Alder or Ash bodies.

Classic late-'59 PAF tone with exceptional balance, clarity and dynamic range.

The Mule delivers an authentic Patent Applied For-inspired vintage voice with an exceptionally balanced frequency response and enough output to handle almost any musical application.

Built and voiced as a faithful interpretation of the finest late-'59 PAF humbuckers, each pickup features coils wound with differing numbers of turns of vintage-correct 42 AWG plain enamel wire. The result is outstanding clarity, extended dynamics and an expressive, vocal character.

Construction includes butyrate bobbins, maple spacers, nickel-plated slugs, Fillister No. 5 pole screws and a solid nickel-silver baseplate. Sand-cast Alnico IV magnets provide a fast bass response, fuller mids and smooth, controlled highs.

The Mule remains clear and expressive at lower gain settings, while smooth harmonic feedback and rich overtones emerge naturally as the amplifier is pushed. Clean tones have depth and unmistakable vintage character, while the pickup has enough authority to drive an amp into rich, commanding overdrive when required.
