THE SULTANS SINGLE COIL SET

The Sultans are a set of single coils delivering crisp, percussive vintage output with a warm, rounded bottom end and sweet, articulate highs.

Hand-bevelled Alnico II magnets combined with scatter-wound 42 AWG plain enamel coils produce a smooth, natural response with softer bass and treble, excellent pick attack and exceptionally organic sustain. Clean tones feature a distinctive hollow cluck through the mids, while adding gain transforms the response into a warm, singing overdriven tone.

As with the Apache, the bridge coil is wound slightly hotter to provide improved balance with the middle and neck positions while retaining an open, dynamic voice with strong harmonic overtones and presence.

APPLICATIONS

Fingerstyle, Country, Surf, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Indie, Pop and Classic Rock.

SUITABILITY

Particularly well suited to Strat-style guitars with Maple fretboards and lightweight Ash bodies, but equally at home in Alder-bodied instruments with Rosewood fretboards.
