Shipping & Returns Policy

At Fret & Grain, every product is carefully inspected before dispatch. We take pride in supplying genuine, quality products and ensure that each item is in good condition before it leaves our workshop.

1. All Sales Are Final

All purchases from Fret & Grain are final.

We do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges due to:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect product selection

  • Incorrect colour or specification selection

  • Compatibility issues

  • Personal preference

  • Installation or wiring issues

  • Products that have been installed, modified or altered

Please ensure that you have selected the correct product and specification before placing your order.

If you are unsure about compatibility with your guitar, please contact us before purchasing. We are happy to assist where possible.

2. Product Inspection

All products are inspected by Fret & Grain before dispatch to ensure that they are in good condition and correspond with the order placed.

Minor variations in finish, colour, grain, pole-piece appearance or other cosmetic characteristics may occur between individual products and are not considered defects where they are consistent with the manufacturer's normal production characteristics.

3. Defective Products

Exchanges are only considered where a product is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect or genuine product fault.

If you believe that your product is defective, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item.

Please provide:

  • Order number

  • Clear photographs of the product

  • A description of the issue

  • Video evidence where appropriate

  • Any other information reasonably required to assess the issue

Fret & Grain will assess the reported issue and determine whether it qualifies as a defective product.

Where a defect is confirmed, we will arrange an exchange for the same product, subject to availability. If the same product is unavailable, an alternative solution may be offered.

4. Installation & Modification

Products must be inspected before installation.

Once a product has been installed, soldered, modified, altered, cut, drilled, rewired or otherwise worked on, it will generally not be eligible for exchange.

Fret & Grain is not responsible for damage caused during installation by the customer or by a third-party technician.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Incorrect wiring

  • Incorrect installation

  • Damage caused by soldering

  • Physical modification

  • Incorrect mounting

  • Damage to covers, bobbins, wires or components

  • Damage resulting from incompatible equipment

We strongly recommend confirming compatibility before installation.

5. Shipping

Orders are carefully packed before dispatch.

Once an order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, delivery times and handling are outside the direct control of Fret & Grain.

Fret & Grain is not responsible for shipping delays, loss or damage caused by the carrier after dispatch, although we will assist with any reasonable claim or investigation where possible.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and contact information.

6. Exchange Shipping Costs

For approved exchanges due to a confirmed defective product, all return and replacement shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise agreed by Fret & Grain in writing.

Customers should not return any product without first contacting Fret & Grain and receiving instructions.

7. Manufacturer Warranty

Where a product is covered by a manufacturer's warranty, warranty claims may be subject to the manufacturer's own terms and conditions.

Fret & Grain may assist with the warranty process where applicable, but final warranty decisions remain subject to the manufacturer's assessment and policies.

8. Before You Order

Please check all product specifications carefully before completing your purchase.

For guitar pickups and other components, compatibility can depend on factors including:

  • Guitar model

  • Pickup routing

  • Pickup spacing

  • Number of strings

  • Neck or bridge position

  • Mounting system

  • Wiring configuration

  • Potentiometer values

  • Switching configuration

If you are uncertain, please contact Fret & Grain before placing your order.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Shipping & Returns Policy.
