The latest evolution and most comprehensive range yet of our premium paper-in-oil tone capacitors.
Following exhaustive testing, we have worked with Jupiter Condenser in the USA to develop a range of custom-specification capacitors designed to deliver everything we look for in a great guitar tone capacitor.
Every model delivers a clear, defined response throughout the full range of your tone control. They feature aluminium foil construction with silver lead-outs, housed in a hermetically sealed capsule for dependable, long-term performance.
For maximum tonal flexibility, we offer two dielectric oil options, each providing a subtly different tonal character.
VITAMIN Q
A synthetic oil that produces a slightly brighter overall response, with a more pronounced, notched and wah-like character as the tone control is rolled back. This version is closest in character to previous generations of our capacitors, particularly the older Jensen models.
MINERAL OIL
A more rounded and warm character, delivering a smoother and more even response as the tone control is rolled back.
Each oil type is available in three carefully selected capacitance values:
0.047µF
Produces a deeper, darker response. Particularly well suited to single-coil pickups and pairing with a 280kΩ tone pot.
0.022µF
Our versatile all-round value, offering a balanced response across a wide range of pickups and playing styles.
0.015µF
Provides a slightly brighter and more open response, making it an excellent choice for a neck pickup tone control when you want to retain clarity and definition.
