The Aluminium Strat® Screening Plate is a rigid metal shielding plate designed to sit between the guitar's electronics and the underside of the pickguard. By creating a conductive barrier around the control and switching area, it helps reduce unwanted electromagnetic interference that can enter the guitar's wiring.
Unlike thin self-adhesive shielding foil, this plate is made from solid, thick aluminium, providing a durable and substantial screening solution that retains its shape and offers consistent coverage beneath the pickguard.
Electric guitars, particularly those fitted with single-coil pickups, can be susceptible to unwanted hum and electromagnetic interference from lighting, power supplies, computers and other electronic devices. When properly installed and grounded, the Aluminium Strat® Screening Plate forms part of the guitar's overall shielding system, helping to reduce interference affecting the control cavity and electronics.
