Our Bare Knuckle Custom Audio Taper 280K CTS potentiometers are specially manufactured by CTS to Bare Knuckle specifications. Featuring smooth rotational torque and a tight ±10% tolerance, these custom 280K pots are ideally suited for Strat® and Tele® style guitars.
A shaft-mounted circlip provides increased durability and helps maintain secure mechanical stability.
A - 10% Audio Taper (Recommended by F&G for Tone)
A fast roll-off from maximum volume, providing a snappy response and making it ideal for quick volume swell techniques.
BD - 20% Audio Taper
A medium roll-off that offers an excellent balance between fast response and precise volume control.
J - 30% Audio Taper (Recommended by F&G for Volume)
A smoother, more gradual linear roll-off that provides greater fine-tuning control, particularly through the lower half of the dial.
We recommend our 280K CTS pots for use with Bare Knuckle Strat® and Tele® single-coil pickups, in both volume and tone positions. The 280K value provides an excellent balance of brightness, clarity and control with single-coil pickups.
