The Irish Tour is a hot-vintage Strat-style single coil set delivering a powerful, full-bodied voice with fat lows, grinding mids and warm, expressive highs.
Each pickup is hand-wound with 42 AWG plain enamel wire, pushing the classic vintage formula towards greater output, depth and tonal authority while retaining the openness and dynamic response expected from a true single coil.
The set produces a fuller and more substantial low end, with increased midrange weight and a strong, articulate attack. The higher strings retain a rounded chime and warm harmonic character, giving the Irish Tour a powerful voice without becoming excessively bright or harsh.
The bridge pickup is wound hotter to provide increased output and enough authority to push a tube amplifier naturally into overdrive. The calibrated middle and neck pickups retain a hollow, woody character while delivering greater power and body than a traditional vintage Strat set.
The result is a bold and expressive Strat voice that responds strongly to picking dynamics, amplifier gain and volume control, making the Irish Tour particularly effective for players who want vintage character with additional output, thickness and control.
Blues, Funk, Indie, Pop, Garage, Punk and Classic Rock.
Strat-style guitars, particularly brighter Alder and Ash-bodied instruments with Maple fretboards. Also well suited to any Strat that would benefit from a fatter vintage voice, stronger output, increased midrange weight and a smoother high-end response.
