The Juggernaut is a signature humbucker set designed with Periphery guitarist Misha Mansoor, combining powerful low-end weight, aggressive attack and exceptional clarity with the dynamic response required for modern progressive playing.
The bridge pickup combines Alnico V and Ceramic VIII magnets with symmetrically hand-wound twin screw coils to produce a powerful and focused response. Its tight, controlled bass provides definition through extended-range and heavily detuned guitars, while the substantial midrange gives complex riffs and chord voicings weight without sacrificing separation.
The bridge also delivers a rich, vocal high end with considerable harmonic detail, allowing individual notes to remain articulate under heavy gain. The combination of Alnico and Ceramic magnets gives the pickup a distinctive balance between immediate ceramic-style attack and the dynamic, musical response associated with Alnico.
The neck pickup uses a custom-sized Alnico V magnet with an 8.9 kΩ wind, providing a full and expressive response with excellent dynamics. Clean tones remain broad and powerful, while higher-gain sounds become fluid and articulate, making it equally suited to melodic leads, sustained passages and detailed chord work.
The Juggernaut responds naturally to picking intensity, remaining full and controlled with a lighter touch while becoming increasingly aggressive as it is driven harder. This dynamic behaviour makes it particularly effective for players who move between intricate progressive passages, powerful rhythm work and expressive lead playing.
The four-conductor configuration provides additional wiring flexibility through series, split-coil and parallel options, giving players further tonal possibilities from a set designed primarily for modern high-performance instruments.
