POLYMATH HUMBUCKER

The Polymath is a versatile, mid-focused humbucker set designed with guitarist and producer Adam “Nolly” Getgood, combining broad, characterful mids, tight and percussive low end and a highly responsive playing feel across extended-range and conventional guitars.

The bridge pickup delivers a chunky pick attack, vocal midrange and rich harmonic detail, producing strong note definition without becoming harsh or overly aggressive. Its controlled bass response keeps complex riffs tight and articulate, while the pronounced midrange gives individual notes the presence required to remain clear within dense mixes.

The neck pickup offers a deeper, woody character with excellent clarity and dynamic response. Clean tones remain open and articulate, while increased gain brings out a smooth, liquid quality that works particularly well for lead playing and melodic passages.

The Polymath set is particularly effective in 7-string and multi-scale guitars, where its controlled low end and pronounced midrange help maintain definition through the extended lower register. Rather than relying on excessive output or compression, the pickups retain a responsive playing feel that allows picking dynamics and the natural character of the instrument to come through.

The four-conductor configuration provides extensive wiring flexibility, allowing series, split-coil and parallel-coil options. The parallel setting produces a distinctive character somewhere between a P90 and a hot Telecaster, giving players additional usable voices while retaining the core character of the Polymath set.

The Alnico 5 magnets provide a responsive and dynamic feel, while the carefully balanced winds maintain clarity and harmonic detail across a wide range of gain levels. The result is a modern yet organic pickup set capable of moving effortlessly between progressive metal, rock, clean and lead applications.
