The Polymath is a versatile, mid-focused humbucker set designed with guitarist and producer Adam “Nolly” Getgood, delivering broad, characterful mids, tight and percussive low end and a highly responsive playing feel.
The bridge pickup combines chunky pick attack, vocal midrange and rich harmonic detail, producing strong note definition without becoming harsh or overly aggressive. Its controlled bass response keeps complex riffs tight and articulate, while the pronounced midrange allows individual notes to remain clear and present within dense mixes.
The neck pickup delivers a deeper, woody character with excellent clarity when played clean, developing a smooth, liquid and articulate response under gain. Together, the bridge and neck pickups provide a balanced tonal range that moves naturally between clean, driven, lead and modern high-gain applications.
The Polymath set is particularly versatile when used with advanced wiring. The four-conductor configuration allows series, split-coil and parallel-coil options, with the parallel setting producing a distinctive character somewhere between a P90 and a hot Telecaster.
