THE OFTEN-OVERLOOKED 470K RESISTOR
A small but important detail when combining single-coil pickups with a humbucker.
The 470K resistors help the single-coil pickups see an effective load closer to 250K, while the humbucker retains the benefits of the 500K potentiometer.
This helps control excessive brightness from the single coils while preserving the clarity, openness, and output characteristics of the humbucker.

When combining humbuckers with a single-coil pickup, the 470K resistor helps balance the different loading requirements of the pickups.
It allows the single-coil pickup to see a load closer to 250K, helping to control excessive brightness while allowing the humbuckers to retain the clarity and openness associated with a higher-value potentiometer.

A complete electronics upgrade featuring a Half Blender Pot modification, allowing the neck pickup to be blended into selected pickup positions for additional tonal combinations beyond the standard 5-way switching configuration.

The Half Blender Pot allows the neck pickup to be gradually blended into the bridge and bridge + middle positions, creating additional tonal combinations that are not available with the standard 5-way switching alone.
The modification operates in:
Position 1 - Bridge: Bridge + Neck blend
Position 2 - Bridge + Middle: Bridge + Middle + Neck blend
Positions 3, 4 and 5 retain their normal operation.
